A day set aside to let people know you love them - flowers -
chocolates - heart shaped cards and other sweet things -
what's not to love about Valentine's Day?
A basket with sweet fruit and heart shaped chocolates.
Orange you glad you're my Valentine?
I'm going bananas over you!
You're the apple of my eye.
These were delivered to the sisters that I visit teach.
I found this idea online. So easy... download and print onto
sticker paper. Punch out and stick on fresh fruit. This is my
kind of craft. Anything much harder than this gives me anxiety.
Chocolate chip and dried cherry cookies bagged and ready
to deliver to friends and neighbors
Valentines received in the mail. I especially love that handmade
one on top, from my crafty sis -in- law.
Sweet, heart shaped sugar cookies, made with love by Mom Wray
Valentine's Day is the best!
But most of all - I especially love this guy ,
my Valentine for thirty years.
Look at the cute Valentine dishtowels that he gave me.
He saw them and just decided I needed them. How sweet is that?
I've been enjoying them all month.
And check out this very cool gift. The packaging itself was
beautiful.
And inside...... pillowcases. The softest pillowcases you can imagine.
And when he walked in the door from work last night, he was
loaded down with his briefcase and this....
Red roses. How beautiful. This man knows how
to gift his Valentine!!!
We had a romantic dinner right here at home. I made his
favorite dessert which I must say doesn't really scream
Valentine's Day - but he loves it. Pumpkin pie.
A little whip cream heart helped to make it more "lovely".
Ten Things I Love About My Valentine
1 - He makes me laugh. ( and I need that - I can be way too serious!)
2 - He works hard to take care of our needs. ( even though he reminds
me on a weekly basis that he is ready to retire!)
3- He is the most caring and sensitive person I know.
4 - He knows how to slow down and enjoy the moment. ( I'm
trying to learn how to do this better.)
5 - He supports me in every way.
6 - He prays with me , and for me, every day.
7 - He calls me from work, just to say, " I love you."
8 - He says "thank you" often. For the little things I do -
from preparing dinner to having clean towels in
the linen closet.
9 - He puts up with me. ( I can be kind of demanding....)
10 - He still looks good in his jeans. :)
Goal # 49 - Have 50 romantic interludes with my husband.
OK.. this post made me cry. How beautiful... you are so amazing Melissa. You touch the deepest part of my heart. I love you!
