New Beginnings

I love beginnings.  The beginning of a new year, a new week,
even a new day.

My favorite time of the day is early....when I'm the only one up
and it's quiet and the day is fresh and clean and full of potential.

My favorite time of the year is New Year's Day.   And this year
is especially exciting to me because it's the year I turn 50.  How
weird is that?  Most people dread that number, but not me.  I see
it as an excuse to celebrate big time!!!   I plan to make this a memorable
year.  In honor of the big 50, I have set 50 goals that I hope to achieve.
(Yeah, I'm a goal setting kinda girl.)  This blog will be where I record
my progress.

Now, this blogging thing is scary to me.  I love reading other peoples
blogs and do so for a number of reasons.  But none of those reasons
are the reason I have entered blog world.  My main purpose is because
goal #15  is  -Improve my technology skills.   I am lazy when it comes
to technology and don't want to take the time to learn new skills.  I'd
rather wait for my kids to be home and have them do it for me.  Pretty
pathetic, I know.  Working on this goal  will include things like learning
to use the apps on my new phone, loading photos on my digital key chain
that I just received for Christmas, learning more about my computer and
starting a blog. I am pushing myself to do things that are out of my comfort
zone and writing a blog is way out there!   So, here I am on the first day of
the new year and I'm working on goal #15.

Happy New Year!!!  It's going to be a great year.

Now....do I just push the Publish Post button?
